Kara offers one virtual community Pilates class a week through Zoom.

Classes are held every Sunday at 10:15am CST (11:15am EST)

 

Class is sliding scale (suggested $10 - $40)

NOT SURE IF PILATES IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Pilates is beneficial to everyone, but if any of these things apply to you then Pilates may be an especially good choice for you:

  • Back or neck pain

  • Overall tightness/stiffness in the body

  • Sedentary lifestyle (desk job)

  • Pre or post-natal 

  • Recovering from an injury or surgery (must have physician's approval to return to activity)

  • High level athlete (professional sports, dancer, gymnast, triathlete, runner, etc.)

  • Osteoporosis/Osteopenia (bone density issues)

  • Bulging disc/herniation in the spine

  • Spondelolysthesis

WHY TAKE A PRIVATE PILATES SESSION OVER A GROUP CLASS?

 

Technique

Pilates is detail oriented and trains the smaller, local muscle groups that are sometimes difficult to access. Like any type of exercise, technique is very important in Pilates and it's difficult to correct form in a group class setting. Private sessions allow you to focus on the more movements that are most challenging for you the accomplish.

 

Injury

For those who have injuries or other health conditions that make exercise challenging, private session are way to build a personalized workout that does not exacerbate those conditions. In addition, private sessions can also be used to further the rehabilitation process. **Note all students with injuries must be cleared to returned to activity by a physician

WHY TAKE A ZOOM CLASS OVER AN IN-PERSON CLASS?

No Commute!

Not only can commuting be inconvenient and time consuming, it can also be difficult if you have an injury or another health condition that affects your ability to travel with ease. Virtual sessions make Pilates accessible to you without the hassle of the commute or if you are located in an area without a nearby Pilates studio

No Contact!

If you are immunocompromised then commuting on the subway or bus to take an in-person class in a studio filled with other people is probably not the best option for you. Virtual sessions give you access to Pilates and individual instruction without putting your health at risk.

The Price is Right!

By cutting out the cost of the studio space and the time it takes to commute, Kara is able to lower her rate to a price point that may be better suited for you.
